Commercial Work Is Different
Commercial tile jobs have higher stakes than residential in a few specific ways. Traffic volume is higher, which means tile specifications matter more. A PEI rating of 3 might be fine for a residential kitchen, but a retail corridor needs PEI 4 or 5 to hold up over time. We spec tiles correctly for the application, not just for appearance.
Schedules are also tighter. Most commercial clients can't have a space out of service for a week. We plan the job in phases where possible, coordinate with general contractors or property managers on access windows, and work nights and weekends when the business timeline requires it. The scope and schedule are locked in writing before we start.

Commercial-Specific Considerations
Traffic Ratings
We select tiles with PEI ratings and DCOF (Dynamic Coefficient of Friction) values appropriate for the expected foot traffic and slip-resistance requirements of the space.
Flatness Tolerances
Commercial floors often have stricter flatness requirements (F-number specifications) than residential. We use laser levels and grinding where needed to meet spec.
Schedule Coordination
We work within construction schedules, coordinate with other trades, and can phase the work to keep portions of the space operational during installation.

Every commercial job has a written scope of work covering materials, quantities, timeline, and responsibilities. No ambiguity on either side.
